Did you know today is World Mental Health Day (WMHD)? So what’s WMHD I hear you ask!
World Mental Health Day is an annual program held on 10 October to raise public awareness of mental health issues worldwide. This day of recognition is chance to globally focus on mental health education, awareness and advocacy.
This year the Pure Empowerment team is getting behind the 2016 “Mental Health Promise” campaign, which aims to encouraging people to take personal ownership of their own mental health and wellbeing
To do this, the campaign focusses on a simple, personal mental health promise that can be made by anyone, regardless of their own mental health.
You don’t have to have a mental illness to take part, you just need to have an interest in your own good health, which is important to everyone.
Mental Health Australia has a focus on ensuring the whole community recognises the part we all play in creating a mentally healthy society.
I’ve just made a mental health promise to myself as part of World Mental Health Day here –
You can make your own promise here https://1010.org.au/promise/add and be part of a world-wide movement to improve mental wellbeing in our community. #MentalHealthPromise
