PLease be advised that there is an option available to you to have your scheduled appointment via Telehealth options (ZOOM is the platform we are using) or even by phone.
This way, you can still receive your treatment, from the comfort of your own home (fluffy slippers optional) without facing a potential exposure to COVID-19 or potentially spreading it to others (which is doing our part for public health). This is particularly important to those in high risk groups (over 70, immune compromised, pregnant, with small children under 12 months or those from Aboriginal or Torres strait Islander over 50 years old). In addition, you don’t have to worry about the drive to/from your appointment, petrol or parking related costs as Telehealth is very easy to use (and we can help you set it up)
In addition, we would also need you to read and sign the informed consent form to use these services. We would email this.
What are we doing about COVID-19 and to prevent colds and flus in general?
-Encouraging telehealth where possible
– You BE be FULLY vccinated to enter our clinic and we need to see proof for your file. Rest assured, all our staff are triple vaccinated as per guidelines.
– You MUST check in via the QR code in reception.
As per the requirements from the Department of Health, all team members who have been to China, Iran or the Republic of Korea are excluded from returning to work for 14 days from the date they left that country. This is also the case for team members who have been in contact with a confirmed case or who are having pre-cautionary testing (please note that at this time, we have NO team members in any of the above categories). Generally, any team member who is feeling unwell or showing signs or symptoms of being unwell, will remain at home.
What can you do?
We are encouraging as many of you as possible to take up the option of telehealth appointments either by webcam or by phone. All appointments can be done online via our client portal and payment can also be arranged online at the time of booking your appointment or via online banking or ringing us with your credit card details. You can easily claim back a rebate (if eligible) via us emailing you a receipt and then claiming back via MyGov account or take it to your nearest Medicare office.

We request you follow the guidelines and recommendations set by the Department of Health and self-exclude if you have been to any of the countries with exclusion periods or have been in contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19. We also ask that you not attend the practice when you are unwell regardless of whether you think this may be COVID-19 or a cold or flu.
Please make sure you are practicing excellent hygiene as hand washing and containment of bodily fluids continue to be the best defence against the spread of cold, flus and COVID-19 and also practice soical distancing (at least 1.5 metres space from others)
While Pure Empowerment Psychology does have (and enforce) our cancellation policy, if you cancel outside of the 48 hour period or cancel due to sickness, there will be no fee charged. We do however, request you provide us with as much notice as possible as we have a lengthy list of people waiting for appointments.
Medicare rebates COVID-19- these are quite restrictive but talk to us about your eligibility. Medicare funding for people in home isolation or quarantine, as a result of coronavirus, to receive health consultations via phone or video such as Facetime or Skype. These services will also be available under Medicare for people aged over 70, people with chronic diseases, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged over 50, people who are immunocompromised, pregnant people and new parents with babies or children under 12 months.
